Catholic Charities receives coveted accreditation - August, 2011

In August 2011, Catholic Charities received the highly coveted CARF International accreditation. CARF International is the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services in the following areas: aging services, behavioral health, child and youth services, employment and community services, medical rehabilitation, opioid treatment programs, business and service management networks, vision rehabilitation and durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies.

According to their website CARFís accreditation "signals a service providerís commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and servicing the community." CARF accredited Catholic Charities programs for three years, through June 2014.

The letter from CARF announcing the accreditation states:

"This achievement is an indication of your organizationís dedication and commitment to improving the quality of lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence."
