Catholic Charities makes it possible for the Church to exercise charity - to be a Church that reaches out and lives the mission of service to the poor and vulnerable
- providing help and creating hope

- Cardinal Joseph Tobin, Archbishop of Newark

"A basic moral test is how our most vulnerable members are faring. In a society marred by deepening divisions between rich and poor, our tradition instructs us to put the needs of the poor and the vulnerable first."

St. Philomena's Christmas Concert

John Westervelt, CEO, Catholic Charities (L) and Msgr Robert Fuhrman, Pastor of St. Philomena's & Board Chair of Catholic Charities (R) congratulate Chris Pinnella who performed an inspiring Christmas Concert on Sat. December 12 at the church. Approximately 100 people attended the event, masked and socially distanced, which was a joint fundraiser between St. Philomena's & Catholic Charities raising almost $16,000.

Many thanks to our sponsors, noted below, who helped make it possible.

Benefit Concert a Big Hit

Chris Pinnella and his orchestra inspired and electrified the crowd at the 3rd Annual Benefit Concert for the Homeless on Sat. Oct. 10 at St Philomena's Church in Livingston.

The outdoor concert event proved to be a tremendous success – with great weather, approx. 400 people in "socially distanced" attendance, a phenomenal show, and a significant amount of funds raised to support the homeless programs of Catholic Charities.

The financial success of the show is directly attributable to our sponsors and underwriters, who were very generous with their support, for which we are most thankful!!

Please take note of many of them listed on the concert flyer below. A complete list will be posted shortly.

Our sincere thanks to Msgr. Fuhrman and the St. Philomena's community for hosting the event and providing incredible addition to the Concert Committee (who helped in numerous ways with planning and executing the show), the County of Essex (for providing the mobile stage), and the Town of Livingston.
