Help Us Provide Care and Hope
To Those In Need

Last year Catholic Charities:

  • Served over 49,841 individuals in 88 programs at 32 sites in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union Counties;
  • Gave away 164,423 pounds of food to families in need;
  • Helped to feed 27,406 households via our emergency food programs;
  • Provided 92,966 nights of shelter to 1,526 individuals and families;
  • Delivered 1,459,217 mental health services to 3,780 people in need;
  • Facilitated 13,378 days of job training to 811 individuals;
  • Assisted 5,892 families in crisis via 23,615 hours of counseling;
  • Received 22,258 hours of help from 767 volunteers;
During the past several months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark has provided many essential services to the community through the efforts of a dedicated staff committed to fulfilling our mission. The challenges, however, have been significant. All of our program operations have been affected by insufficient funding and the restrictions that needed to be imposed because of the public health emergency.

The hardships endured by a growing number of people in our communities demands our ongoing attention. Your support enables us to provide assistance to those most in need.

Thank you!
